Local Businesses Reopening

On Monday afternoon, April 20, Governor Kemp announced Phase I for the reopening of the state’s economy. Just days before this, several local businesses started to reopen using safe procedure guidelines. Several businesses in Randolph County have opened including the BackPorch and Sophie Mae’s Boutique Clothing in Shellman and The Town House restaurant and Rollin Smoke in Cuthbert.

Each business has carefully drawn up a plan that will protect as well as serve their employees and customers. They may have different hours, different menus and new safety procedures, so check out their Facebook pages for the latest news on each business. The Warehouse on the Square opened on Friday. They will be stocking up on Smallcakes and will have curb side service at the back door.

Continue to check their Facebook page. On Monday April 27, the Dawg House reopened as well. As more and more businesses re-open, the businesses and customers should continue using safety procedures to minimize the risk of spreading corona-virus.
